Baccalaureate Mass
The Baccalaureate Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 23 on the Hart Center Lawn (rainsite: Hart Center basketball arena). Fr. Boroughs will preside, Fr. Savard will preach, and members of the Jesuit Community will concelebrate. All members of the Holy Cross community, as well as family members and friends of the graduates, are welcome to participate in the Mass. No tickets are needed (outdoors or indoors). Lecture to consider impacts of oil drilling in Niger Delta
Julia Finomo, an environmentalist and a lecturer at the University of Port Harcourt in Nigeria, will give a lecture on the 'Cost-benefit Analysis of Oil Drilling in the Niger Delta: An Ethical Approach.' She will address the environmental degradation caused by an increase of oil spills and gas flares since the discovery of oil in Nigeria in 1956.
