The 2nd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast will be held on Tuesday January 21. 2014, 7:30 a.m. -9 a.m., in the Hogan Ballroom.
Dr. Damon Williams will deliver the keynote address. Dr. Williams, formerly the associate vice chancellor, vice provost, chief diversity officer, and faculty member at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, is now the senior vice president for programs, training, and youth development services for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
Dr. Williams, a leading expert on diversity and institutional change, is the author of "Strategic Diversity Leadership: Activating Change and Transformation in Higher Education" (Stylus Publishing, 2013) and the co-author of "The Chief Diversity Officer: Strategy, Structure, and Change Management" (Stylus Publishing, 2013). As an educator, consultant, and speaker at more than 200 institutions, he is widely considered one of the nation’s most dynamic and innovative leaders in higher education.
The breakfast is co-sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Education and the Diversity Leadership Team.
