The RPEs and COPE would like to welcome students and staff alike to a speaking engagement by artist and advocate Marissa Ghavami, who is the Founder and CEO of the nonprofit Healing TREE. Marissa will speak on the red flags of abuse and trauma, her healing journey, how Healing TREE is making a difference and what you can do to join the movement. 

The Healing TREE (Trauma Resources, Education & Empowerment) is dedicated to transforming how society responds to abuse and interpersonal trauma.

Marissa Ghavami founded Healing TREE in 2014 after her own healing journey from Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD). She regularly gives inspirational and educational speaking engagements, including trainings and keynotes to professionals and laypeople alike across the country. Marissa is an actor, singer, voice over artist and model as well as an advocate.  Notable credits include: Paramount's feature film Not Fade Away, CBS's Without A Trace, NBC's It's Showtime At The Apollo, and the upcoming pilot Les Fashionables.
