Women in Science (WinS) Day at Holy Cross celebrates the involvement of young female students in the sciences, empowering them to pursue an education in the sciences and a wide variety of possible professional pursuits.

Now in its second year, WinS Day invites undergraduate women of the College and high school-aged girls from the Worcester area to spend the day at our newly renovated and expanded Science Complex. Undergraduate students will benefit from alumnae panels, inspiring speakers, and a networking session. High school students will participate in interactive lab demonstrations and a browsing session featuring opportunities provided by our STEM departments and other forms of experiential learning. Holy Cross WinS Day is a program presented by XCHROM, a student run organization founded in the fall of 2016. XCHROM is passionate about inspiring young women in science. Its mission is to help girls in the Worcester community gain confidence in STEM-related fields through mentorship.

Welcoming remarks and keynote speaker will take place in the Seelos Theater. Lab demonstrations, browsing and networking sessions will take place in the Science Complex.

Open to Campus Community Only
