This reception celebrates the remarkable craftworks of Refugee Artisans of Worcester, a nonprofit project seeking to empower the city's refugees through the sale of their baskets, textiles, sculptures, so on. The reception is a 'booklet party' marking the publication of "Refugee Artisans of Worcester: A Path to Empowerment" by Emerita Anthropology Professor Susan Rodgers and Martina Umunna '18, who did this research with Weiss summer Fellowship and Ignite funding. Many refugee artisans will attend, to formally receive their copies of the Holy Cross-sponsored booklet.
